The University of Iowa has announced the search committee for the next vice president for research.

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is honoring 11 faculty and staff for their exceptional contributions to research, scholarship, and creative activity as part of the 2024 Discovery and Innovation Awards.

Peng Jiang, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, was awarded a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation, which includes a $500,000 grant to fund his research.

E Cram, associate professor with joint appointments in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, received the Karl Wallace Memorial Award. The award will allow Cram to continue their research on the Johnson County Historic Poor Farm.
