Emily Hurst, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ first student care manager, helps University of Iowa students navigate mental health concerns, crisis support, and campus resources through the Hawkeyes Helping Hawkeyes Fund. Since joining CLAS in 2024, Hurst has supported students, faculty, and staff through challenging situations while expanding wellness and peer-support initiatives across the college.
