Iowa alumni William Decker and Charles Ray will be honored during the spring 2024 commencement ceremonies on May 11.

The 2023 animated short Pachyderme produced in part by Reginald de Guillebon (93BA) is one of the alum’s many awards and recognitions for his work in the French film industry.

Darius Stewart, a PhD candidate in English, is one of 45 graduate students nationwide to receive a competitive fellowship that includes an award of up to $50,000.

Abbey Dvorak of the School of Music and David Miles of the Department of Physics and Astronomy received Iowa Mid-Career Faculty Scholar Awards.

Luis Martín-Estudillo, professor and collegiate scholar in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will serve as the next director of the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies (OCAS). His appointment will begin July 1.
