Victor Corpuz
Hi, I’m Victor Corpuz. I’m a CLAS graduate with a degree in English, and I have spent the past 36 years practicing law.
Why CLAS?
My English degree prepared me to think on my feet and to communicate effectively, both on the page and through oral advocacy. The many opportunities I had to write, speak, and develop arguments as an English major strengthened abilities that became essential throughout my legal career.
Those skills remain highly sought after in the legal profession. The ability to research, write clearly, build a persuasive argument, and communicate it effectively is fundamental to practicing law—and among the qualities judges look for when hiring law clerks. A CLAS education develops skills that can become the foundation for success in professions well beyond the field you study.
