Why I advise

"I am focused on meeting students where they are. Students come in at different levels with different skills and abilities. I enjoy watching them grow, adapt, and persist in their academic journey. As a first-generation student myself, I remember trying to navigate the complex college system. I was often confused, overwhelmed, and didn’t know where to turn to for help. As an advisor, I want to be able to help my advisees achieve their academic and career goals by connecting them to campus resources, empowering them to seek out value added experiences like internships and research, to be a safe space for them to express ideas and ask questions, and so much more. I appreciate being able to work with students in a pivotal time in their lives."
