Cory Hutchinson-Reuss, PhD
Cory Hutchinson-Reuss (she/her) is an academic advisor to undergraduates in Health Studies, Health Promotion, and Exercise Science in the Department of Health, Sport, and Human Physiology. She earned a PhD in English from the University of Iowa and has taught literature and writing in community and academic settings for 20 years. Cory is the author of Triptych and serves as poetry editor for the literary journal Brink.
Her background in teaching, editing, and writing equips her to partner with students to consider and clarify their own values and then put them into practice, determining the best steps to realize their academic and professional goals. Her aim is to make students feel welcomed and reassured that they have access to the information, resources, and support they need, and to foster openness to unexpected, innovative career pathways.
In her free time, Cory likes to hike, have long meals and conversations with family and friends, and read on the back porch.
