Bill Lynch
Hi, I’m Bill Lynch. I’m a software entrepreneur who built a two-person startup into a public company with 700 employees. Today, I’m working on my next startup, using AI to improve clinical trial operations. I also serve on nonprofit boards and spend much of my time volunteering.
Why CLAS?
My CLAS education taught me how to communicate, think, reason, and argue constructively—as well as to stay curious and respect people whose experiences and perspectives differ from my own. Those skills weren’t necessarily taught explicitly, but looking back, they’ve been crucial throughout my career.
As a software entrepreneur, I often loved hiring technology professionals with liberal arts backgrounds because they brought an ability to communicate and connect their technical work to a larger purpose. As programming increasingly becomes a commodity, those human skills will become even more valuable. The future will belong to people who can think critically, listen more than they talk, communicate clearly, and use technologies like AI thoughtfully and effectively.
