Anna Gaw
Anna Gaw is an assistant director for CLAS advising and advises students in the Department of Biology. She identifies herself as a science nerd but not professional. Her skills and background are in working with students to support their academic and professional endeavors, and to help them navigate the great bureaucracy of higher education. Each student is a unique individual with their own path, and it is her pleasure to get to know each and every one.
Anna earned a Master’s of Liberal Arts from Spring Hill College, a Master’s of Education from Kansas State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Natural Resources at the University of Missouri. She has been a professional academic advisor since 2001 and has been at the University of Iowa since 2015.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, reading and doing puzzles.
