Melanie Sigafoose

Biography

Melanie Sigafoose holds a Doctor of Music degree in Organ Performance from Indiana University Bloomington. She also earned degrees from the University of Kansas and Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

She currently serves as an Academic Advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, working closely with students majoring in Music and Dance. In this role, she assists with academic planning and degree progress, connects students with faculty and campus resources, and encourages exploration of the many opportunities available at the University. Melanie is dedicated to meeting students where they are in their academic journey and fostering their growth both inside and outside the classroom.

In addition to her advising work, Melanie remains actively engaged in church music and teaching. She has taught university-level courses and private lessons, and has held church positions focused on congregational leadership, organ performance, and directing children’s choirs and music programs.
