The Pomerantz Career Center is available to help if you’re searching for an internship and trying to finalize your summer plans.
Tips for finding an internship include:
Using online resources, such as Handshake and LinkedIn
Doing informational interviews with former interns or asking about internship opportunities at various events
Networking with your family, friends, and campus contacts
Participating in a mock interview
You can also make an appointment with a career coach. This service is available to all undergraduates, as well as alumni within 12 months of graduating with a bachelor’s degree. The 30-minute appointment is best for discussions about career decision-making, internships, job search, and more.
The Career Center offers peer advising, too, which is best for quick questions, resume and cover letter reviews, help with Handshake, and more.
Prepare for your internship
Once you’ve secured your internship, practicum, or field experience, get prepared with tips on how to succeed before, during, and after your internship.
Become familiar with the organization
Know the day, time, and location of your first day
