CLAS will host its 2023 Career Boot Camp for graduate and postdoctoral students on August 10 and 11 in Voxman Music Building. This two-day professional development event will provide first-person career advice from professionals in diverse fields, opportunities for networking and career development, and lunch.

The CLAS Career Boot Camp will feature:

  • Panels
    Hear from PhDs working in a diverse array of careers. Panelists will share their insights and take questions on finding, changing, and working in their current and past positions.
  • Networking
    How do you start networking? Practice! Our panelists, graduates, and other volunteers will be on hand to help you get some practice talking about your work and career interests.
  • Mentoring
    Connect with faculty mentors from other departments before and during the event to talk about career options, get support, and build your mentoring team.
  • Tools 
    Explore online tools developed for PhDs in your discipline. Explore career pathways, learn about how to move into different career areas, and plan your next step.
