Details for talks, including speakers, titles/abstracts, and rooms in the Seaman Center will follow. Look for updates on the website.
GPOTS has become the largest annual national conference in operator algebras and operator theory in the United States, attracting approximately 100–150 participants and maintaining a strong international presence. The 2026 Iowa program will address a broad range of topics, including C*-algebras, von Neumann algebras, operator theory and spaces, non-commutative geometry, and quantum information theory, with substantial connections to dynamical systems, logic, group theory, ring theory, and mathematical physics. Alongside plenary lectures by leading experts, the symposium will feature numerous contributed talks, offering postdoctoral researchers, early-career faculty, and graduate students a prominent forum to present their work.
