Engagement
As home to the broadest disciplinary array of programs at the University of Iowa, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences plays a central role in supporting the work of faculty, students, and staff in building university partnerships with communities throughout the state and beyond.
As part of their academic work at a public university many of our faculty, staff, postdocs, and students engage with local, national, and international communities as they pursue Community Engaged Scholarship (CES) and Community Engaged Learning (CEL) and incorporate public engagement into their funded research and scholarship.
By curating information and stories here, our goal is to highlight and elevate publicly engaged research and scholarship in CLAS, encourage and support this work across our college, and consolidate resources for integrating outreach and engagement into our educational and research missions.
