Associate Provost's Student Success Team
A research and advisory group charged with investigating the factors that contribute to students' persistence to graduation at The University of Iowa. Admissions standards, academic policies, and non-academic areas such as socialization and the physical environment of the campus are among the areas this committee considers. SST was created in Fall 2006 as an expansion of the Associate Provost's Enrollment Management Committee. All members of the UI community interested in fostering student success are invited to join.

Graduate Assistant Appointment Work Group
Reviews the practices and processes of Graduate Assistant Appointments. Human Resource transactions, electronic reappointment, financial aid, tuition scholarship, fellowship, student and staff communication and COGS contract processes are among the areas this committee considers. The goal is to improve the overall business process surrounding Graduate Assistant Appointments and develop best practices for increased efficiency and communication.

IOWA (Improving Our Workplace Award) Review Committee
Recognizes individual and team efforts by staff who are making improvements to the workplace. These efforts are recognized for positive results occurring in at least one area of importance to The University of Iowa. The committee reads and reviews all nominations under the criterion for the award, and gives individual input and votes on the nominees. This award is important in promoting job ownership and creative ideas and in promoting a positive work environment.

University of Iowa Drupal Users Group Advisory Committee
The University of Iowa Drupal Users Group (UIDUG) is an on-campus Drupal guidance group. Events are organized to bring people together to share information on the developing resource. Meetings and training sessions are held for staff and faculty. The UIDUG environment is open where members discuss ideas, debug problems, and brainstorm current personal or client Drupal projects..

The UI Web Accessibility Technical Standards Committee
The UI Web Accessibility Technical Standards Committee is a standing committee chosen from senior webmasters at the college or major business unit level, application developers nominated by the Campus IT Leader in each college or major business unit, and others interested in web accessibility. The Committee contributes advise on policy implementation; technical priorities and goals of the web accessibility project; assist in measuring and monitoring progress of web accessibility project; identifies needs of the wider web community for support and training; communicates policy and goals of the web accessibility project to constituent groups.

This group was created by ITS and University Webmasters to identify training topics and come up with presentations for University of Iowa web support. Meetings are held monthly, and presentations are given once a month.
