I am writing to let you know that student responses to the ACE teaching evaluations will not be available until February 10, 2019 (https://teach.uiowa.edu/ace-dates).

Generally, evaluations are available for instructors to read as soon as 3 days after final grades are due.

However, this semester there appears to a scheduling issue related to late-running courses in other colleges, preventing the evaluations being available for instructors in a timely manner.

• We are thus requesting that key administrators in the department help to retrieve evaluations for CLAS instructors.
• Batch reports can be run following these instructions, with each instructor’s evaluations given or mailed individually to the related instructor.

One of the primary purposes of evaluations is to help instructors improve their courses and their teaching. We are thus very sorry that the evaluations are not available before the spring semester begins, and we hope this issue can be fixed in the future.
