In fulfillment of its Year 3 Strategic Priorities, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is holding three focus groups during Fall 2023 in collaboration with the Executive Director of the UI Office of Community Engagement (OCE) to identify possible structures for increased communication and collaboration between faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students participating in Community-Engaged Scholarship and Teaching and STEM Broader Impacts in CLAS. CLAS’s long-term goal is to identify a structure that facilitates a multi-directional flow of information about CLAS projects, accomplishments, community partners, opportunities, and support between CLAS departments and the CLAS Dean’s Office, which in turn works closely with the OCE. All interested CLAS faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students are cordially invited to attend one or more of the focus groups. The meetings are as follows:
