Hancher’s grant-funded “Embracing Complexity” initiative focuses on building knowledge and appreciation of Muslim arts and culture.  The 2017-18 schedule features many of these artists: several performances are free.  The Hancher staff is eager to connect these artists with diversity-related CLAS courses.  Please encourage interested faculty members to contact Education Manager Micah Ariel James (micahariel-james@uiowa.edu) about inviting artists into classrooms or developing course assignments related to artists and programs.
