CLAS and the UI Foundation have announced a new Executive Director of Development for the college.

CLAS alumna Kate Metcalf (BA 2002, Journalism and Mass Communication; Communication Studies; Theatre Arts minor) will lead the CLAS development team in fundraising for all areas of the college. She comes to us from the equivalent role in the College of Engineering, for which she raised funds for 12 years. Before her development career, she was an award-winning television journalist.

Kate replaces Jane Van Voorhis, who has been promoted to UI Foundation Assistant Vice President for Main Campus Development (overseeing Hancher, the UI Museum of Art, and CLAS).
