The Museum Studies program at the University of Iowa is one of the oldest of its kind in the country. Started in 1910, the program focuses on preparing professionals for a wide range of museums and cultural institutions by offering an undergraduate certificate in Museum Studies.

You can read more about the undergraduate certificate and program here: https://museumstudies.sites.uiowa.edu/.

In order to continue offering interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to the field and to allow our students access to a diverse range of voices, experiences, and interests, the Museum Studies Advisory Committee (MSAC) seeks input from faculty and staff members at the University of Iowa who have been trained and/or involved in museums, collections, archives, historical societies, and galleries.

To that end, we have created a brief survey to identify individuals interested in engaging with the Museum Studies program and students pursuing the certificate.

Please fill out the survey below, which will be open until April 15, 2024.
