As the end of the semester approaches, please remember to report students to CLAS who have committed academic misconduct.

Many instructors give a 0 for the related assignment or exam; others assign a reduced grade in proportion to the offense, but please do not fail the student for the course unless you consult with me first.

While instructors assign the grade related to the misconduct, CLAS requires the student to complete an online, self-paced seminar about the importance of integrity to a civil society.  A registration hold is added to the student’s future enrollment until the seminar is completed, with each student given 60 days to complete this assignment.
    · Around 95% of the students taking the seminar report that it has helped them.
    · Students who complete the seminar rarely commit academic misconduct again.

Please report undergraduate academic misconduct to the College by using this online form
    · Be sure to upload any documentation that you might have.
    · Information about multiple students may be entered into one form if the misconduct is related to the same event.

More information on CLAS policy and procedures related to academic misconduct can be found on this page

Thank you for your help and for supporting this work with our students.
