I would like to ensure that all faculty and students conducting human subjects research requiring Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval are signed up for the IRB newsletter and are aware of the many educational programs the Human Subjects Office offers. Many live and recorded educational presentations can be found here: https://hso.research.uiowa.edu/education-and-training. The HSO also holds weekly office hours, currently Wednesdays 2-4 p.m. via Zoom (see information at the prior link). Those writing grants involving human subjects research should seek consultation with the HSO well in advance to ensure proper compliance and guidance on the HawkIRB process.
