Please see the following message from University Counseling Services.

As part of our Outreach and Prevention Services, we are offering a variety of Programs, Workshops, and Support Groups. These are mental health interventions that are available to any undergraduate, graduate, and professional student, and postdoc scholars. These mental health interventions are intended to be focused on skill building (e.g., enhancing coping skills) and/or building connections through shared experiences and/or identities. In addition, the Let's Talk, Hawks! program serves as a time a student can briefly consult with a therapist one-on-one about a concern or get referrals to other campus/community resources.

One major benefit of these Outreach Services is they do not require an appointment. Students can opt into using these services by contacting the facilitator or simply showing up to the meeting space (virtual or in-person).

Dr. Tianyi Xie, UCS Social Media Coordinator put together a handout that has a list of all of our current Outreach Service offerings for the spring 2023 semester, along with a QR code that will take you to the list on the UCS website. I have attached the document and invite you to share with students you work with and distribute it to the rest of your colleagues within your unit.

Please let me know if you have any questions about these services at kelly-clougher@uiowa.edu.
