Please review the following information from the Institute of International Education.

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) has requested that the Institute of International Education (IIE) invite institutions of higher education and nonprofit organizations to submit proposals to host a Fulbright Visiting Scholar Enrichment Seminar during the Spring of 2022 for 90 Fulbright Visiting Scholars, and we would like to invite you to submit a proposal.

The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Enrichment Program provides opportunities for Fulbright Visiting Scholars to gain a deeper understanding of the United States and connect with other fellow Fulbright Scholars. Each year, the program offers Scholars the choice to attend an Enrichment Seminar hosted in one of the selected cities. These multi-day Enrichment Seminars include interactive discussions, insightful panels, and local cultural activities designed to address topics of global importance.

The Request for Proposals and accompanying documents can be found here. Eligible proposals will be reviewed by a panel of experts and recommended to ECA for final selection. Organizations will be notified of their selection in mid-January.

If you feel there is a more appropriate contact at your institution for this solicitation, please kindly pass this information to that person or office.  If your institution is interested in submitting a proposal, please send an email to Margarita Saenz Soto at msaenzsoto@iie.org by Monday, December 20th to signify your intent and your preferred dates. All proposals are due by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
