RE: Exam Scoring: Changes Effective January 2, 2019
Exam Scoring: Changes Effective January 2, 2019
As previously announced, new procedures to enhance exam security for those requesting scoring of objective, multiple choice exams through Exam Scoring will begin on January 2, 2019.
- All exams must be dropped off in person or left in the lockbox in C102 PBB.
- Exams must also be picked up in person, with a UI ID required.
This change brings many benefits for instructors. For example, instructors will no longer receive score reports by email; instead, those scores will be available from an “Instructor Tools” dashboard.
Some of the other benefits include the following:
- Graders can be added by the instructor
- Exam questions can have more than one correct answer
- Exams can be reviewed and edited from any semester
- Multiple key scrambles can be produced from the one foundational key (Form/Key A), by picking one of the available options
- Various reports are available
Please see visit https://teach.uiowa.edu/exam-scoring and https://teach.uiowa.edu/sites/teach.uiowa.edu/files/instructor_tools.pdf for more information.
Individual training sessions are available, listed below. Additionally, some areas have requested group training sessions; sessions can be added by contacting the ITS HELP Desk.
