Following the procedures outlined in the CLAS Administrative Manual, when a DEO is planning to be away from campus, on personal business or University-related business, the DEO must notify the Dean's Office and arrange for another faculty member (preferably an associate chair) to have responsibility for day-to-day management of the department during that period.  The following information should be sent via email to Brenda Gritsch:

  • Dates and purpose of travel,
  • the name of the departmental faculty member in charge during the absence, and
  • contact information for the DEO in case of an emergency

TEVs for DEO travel and P-card vouchers containing DEO expenditures need to be routed to the Dean using the following workflow sublevel path: DEO_Pcard_Trav
