Many thanks to all of you who helped make the second annual CLAS Open House a spectacular success!

Almost four thousand first-year students attended the Open House with their On Iowa! orientation group and had a fantastic time making new friends, meeting faculty, staff, and the CLAS deans, and learning about academic programs in the College—all while playing crazy carnival games!

We want to thank our departments for designing such creative activities for students to try—the Grant Wood cut out, the journalism photo stand, the chemistry dry ice blow out, the  talking globe, the rainbow light, the iconography board, the cootie catchers, the interpretation bags—and all the other activities and games that the students enjoyed.

The weather was picture perfect and the students were excited and engaged.
