I am happy to report that the Office of the Provost has approved the College’s procedures for annual review of tenured faculty and its procedures for five-year peer review of tenured faculty.  These CLAS procedures have been approved as consistent with the University’s policy on tenured faculty review.  These procedures will be used in reviews of tenured faculty (both annual and peer) beginning with the current academic year.

In addition, the Office of Provost has accepted all Departmental Standards for Tenured Faculty Review that have been approved by the College.  The College’s website contains all approved departmental standards.  These departmental standards have been approved as consistent with the College’s Standards for Tenured Faculty Review and with the expectations of the Provost’s Office.  Annual and five-year peer reviews of tenured faculty will be conducted using both the Collegiate and departmental standards.
