The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is eager to welcome the Class of 2023 to campus!

As part of the university’s On Iowa! programming for incoming students, CLAS will again be hosting a Welcome Party from 4:30-6:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, on the Pentacrest, in front of Schaeffer Hall at the corner of Clinton and Washington Streets.

The event will include two bands made up of UI student musicians; giveaways of t-shirts and other goodies; snacks; a photo booth, and prize drawings. Last year’s Welcome Party was a big success, and we hope this year’s will be even better. As you interact with students arriving on campus, please encourage them to come to the Welcome Party.

In general, please help CLAS and the UI project a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our newest Hawkeyes!
