Please see the following note from Mai Hunt with the Modern Language Association.

We are currently accepting applications for the MLA Public Humanities Incubator, a new program for graduate students interested in public humanities. Any humanities graduate student is encouraged to apply, including MA & PhD students, as well as students working towards advanced certificates. Applications from individuals or teams are also welcome.

In the incubator, twelve participants will be placed in groups with four mentors active in the public humanities. Groups will work with their mentors from October to December to envision their research as contributions to public humanities scholarship.

Further information, and the program application, can be found on the Public Humanities Incubator website. As a note, the application closes on September 1, 2022.

If you have any questions, please feel welcome to contact Janine Utell, Program Manager for Professional Development, at jutell@mla.org, and Ayanni Cooper, Program Associate, at acooper@mla.org.
