Timelines

Please submit an intake form to notify the GSO as soon as you decide on a funding opportunity. It is never too early to inform us of your intentions to apply for a grant! PIs that provide advanced notice and start the process early will receive priority.

We ask you begin working with the GSO contact assigned to your submission at least four weeks from the sponsor’s deadline for submissions with a collaborating institution. For all other submissions, you should begin working with us at least three weeks from the sponsor’s deadline. More time is needed if there will be more than one subaward, during peak submission periods, and for complex proposals (e.g. training grants, human subjects research, clinical trails, multiple institute collaborations).

Your GSO contact will inform you of the internal timeframes for proposal preparation to ensure our full support for your submission.

Our recommendations are in place so that your proposal is in the best position to be completed by the Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) review deadline, which is five business days before the sponsor due date.

While we will always do our best to assist you, please know that not meeting these recommendations may result in limited support, especially during peak submission periods.
