Abstract:
Navigating the IRB Review Process for Human Subjects Research.
This presentation will provide an overview of the University of Iowa Human Research Protection Program and the regulatory requirements for research with human subjects.  The objective is for researchers to learn how to recognize when approval is needed from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and how to ask whether IRB approval is required.  Attendees will also learn what to expect from the IRB review process and about the many resources that are available to assist UI faculty, staff and student researchers.
