Job Description: This position involves hands-on technical GIS work and support of a growing GIS consulting company in central Illinois. Cloudpoint Geospatial is a leading provider of GIS Solutions for organizations within public works, facilities, land records, utilities, transportation, and engineering sectors. As an Esri business partner, we help organizations make intelligent, data-driven decisions using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro. Primary responsibilities of this position may include GIS data cleanup, data collection with GNSS equipment, layer creation, image processing, and assisting with a variety of GIS related projects. Requirements:

• The ability to assist with diverse and challenging requests for GIS assistance
• Experience with GIS software and databases
• Technical skills that include a variety of PC software and mobile devices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace Applications
• Ability to learn new hardware and software components
• Associate Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, GIS or related field

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate any of the following:

• Two (2) or more years of GIS experience
• Experience with a variety of GIS data collection equipment
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online and Esri’s Field Apps
• Creating, editing, publishing, and analyzing data with ArcGIS Pro
• Experience with GIS data cleanup and data conversion
• Experience working in local government, engineering, cemeteries, 9-1-1 dispatch, land records, transportation, or asset management
• Experience with 3D modeling using BIM or CAD software
• The ability to travel throughout the Midwest including occasional overnight stays
• Ability to obtain a GIS Professional certificate within 5 years
