Conservation Technician Position
Supervisor: Conservation Coordinator
Location: Tall Timbers • Tallahassee, Florida
Job Classification: Temporary (12-16 weeks), full-time or part-time
1 – Summer position available (May – August)
1 – Autumn position available (September – December)
Duties
The Land Conservancy is seeking individuals to assist with a broad array of duties including: biological surveys, wildlife species monitoring, GIS work and map editing, annual conservation easement monitoring visits, landowner requests, records management, report writing, community outreach, and policy analysis. The responsibilities of the position will be tailored to best fit the interests and qualifications of the selected applicant.
Qualifications
Applicants should be college students or recent graduates in natural resources, environmental science/studies, wildlife ecology, urban/regional planning, environmental law or related field. Individuals need a valid driver’s license and must have a good driving record.
Compensation: $10/hour
