Department of Religious Studies

Religion has always had a profound impact on humans and their modes of interaction. In an era of fast-paced, digital communication and intercultural exchange it is critical that we recognize this influence and respond to it knowledgeably. The Religious Studies faculty is highly diverse, yet we share an interest in religion and public life, including the ways in which religious ideas and practices influence identity-formation and the dynamics of social change, both historically and in the contemporary world.
