Danielle Colburn

Biography

Danielle is a seventh-year graduate student with primary research interesting involving the intersection between philosophy of mind and philosophy of psychology within the area of metaphysics more generally. Her current research focuses on the nature of "self" with an eye towards the unique, and often overlooked, experiences of those with mental illnesses. Danielle completed her MA in 2023 and is currently working on her dissertation.

Danielle completed a BA in both Philosophy and Psychology at Roger Williams University, where she received the "Dr. Rodolphe-Louis Herbert Award for Excellence in Philosophy". She was the Program Director for the Iowa Lyceum in 2020 and 2021, created the current Lyceum website, and organized the publication of an article about the Iowa Lyceum in 2021*. Danielle is incredibly passionate about teaching and has taught students ages 3 and up, in a number of different settings and covering a wide array of material.
