Professor Michaela Hoenicke Moore appointed AYF Academic Director in Freiburg, Germany
Michaela Hoenicke Moore has been appointed AYF Academic Director in Freiburg, Germany for the 2021-22 academic year. The Academic Year in Freiburg (AYF) is a consortium made up of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Iowa that offers approximately 30 students a year-long study abroad experience with dedicated on-site staff and a long history of success and excellence at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität.
As Academic Director, Michaela will serve as the program’s chief academic, student affairs, and financial officer. She will teach a seminar on Atlantic Crossings: Germany and Europe in Transatlantic Context and Historical Perspective, serve as advisor and instructor for an Academic Internship Course, and accompany students on local, regional, and Europe-wide excursions. Freiburg is centrally located in Europe, less than an hour away from France and Switzerland and only a day trip away from other European capital cities.
