The Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology’s inaugural spring semester Teaching Showcase will be held on Friday, April 1 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. in University Capitol Centre 2520-D.  All faculty are invited. We hope you can join us.

The Showcase will focus on successful projects developed by faculty members and other instructors through the Innovations in Teaching with Technology Awards.

  • Sponsored by the Academic Technologies Advisory Council (ATAC) and funded by Student Technology Fees, ITTA supports significant and innovative projects to improve teaching and learning with technology. Since its inception in 2001, ITTA has received 244 proposals of which 78 were awarded a total of $1,332,515.
  • From noon to 1:00 or so, the Showcase will recognize this year’s five winners (who received a total of $95,884) and feature several previous awardees who will describe how they incorporated teaching technology into their courses in novel ways for significant impact on student learning.
  • The remaining time we will provide feedback to individual faculty members who would like to submit proposals next fall.

I hope you can join us and administrators from other colleges and the Office of the Provost to celebrate the efforts of these innovative UI faculty members.

Lunch will be provided, so we appreciate participants registering.

Thank you!
