CLAS community,

Commencement is coming! Between 20-40 volunteers are needed at each ceremony to help them run smoothly.

Please consider signing up to help during the 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. ceremonies on Saturday, May 11.

Volunteers will receive:

• Free parking at Carver-Hawkeye arena
• Snacks and beverages during the ceremony
• Invitation to attend a thank-you lunch with Dean Sanders at a later date

This is an inspiring day, well-attended by students, families, and supporters.

Volunteer roles at each ceremony:

• Greeter/wayfinder (12 needed)
  Answer FAQs and direct students and their families. You'll stand at entrances and be provided a map and guide to answer questions.
• Name card distributor (8 needed)
  Help graduates find their name cards, or, in some cases, fill out a name card for a late graduate.
• Floor marshal (10 needed)
  Be in the action! You'll be on the floor during the ceremony to guide graduates and release rows so students can walk across the stage.
• Usher (4 needed)
  You will be on the floor and direct graduates to sit in their assigned seating block after they've picked up their name cards.

Dress is business-casual.
