Career Courses
We are the only Department of Political Science in the nation to offer a semester-long three-credit course that educates students on the impressive array of career options open to them. Students learn first-hand from successful alums of our department about job opportunities in public service, business, the non-profit sector, law, education, and other fields. These alums help students understand how to build their skills, land valuable internships, network professionally, and secure a great first job. We also offer one-credit mini courses that take a deep dive into specific career areas.

Career Workshops
Several alumni-driven career workshops are offered every year on topics such as working on Capitol Hill, public policy, and more. Each workshop includes essential tips and a Q&A.

Career-ready Training
Experiential learning courses give students hands-on experience with research, diplomacy, and legislative work. To explore more, visit our Experiential Learning page.
