Patrick is heavily involved in the University of Iowa's Undergraduate Student Government (USG), where he was recently elected as the Undergraduate Student Body President. He began his involvement in USG in the Spring of 2020 and has previously served as an at-large Senator before taking leadership as the Finance Committee Chair, and most recently the USG Director of Finance.

He also works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant within the Political Science Department, working with Professor Elizabeth Menninga and the University of Illinois' Alyssa Prorok on the analysis of international civil wars and diffusion of peace. Having worked with this team from the Fall of 2020, Patrick looks to continue this research in the upcoming year.

Patrick hopes to attend law school following the completion of his undergraduate tenure. He hopes to pursue a career in corporate law before pursing an ultimate goal of working with the Federal Department of Justice.
