Erico is a graduate student in comparative politics and American politics. Before joining the University of Iowa in 2013, he received a BA in law from Sun Yat-sen University and an MA in international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh GSPIA (Graduate School of Public and International Affairs). He previously served as a research intern at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington D.C. and the Carter Center in Atlanta.

Erico's research interests include public opinion, inequality, and judicial politics in the U.S. and China. He is currently working on two projects: analyzing an original dataset of half a million courtroom video profiles in China and a comparative survey experiment on judicial beliefs and legal consciousness across countries. More
