Chenthu Jayachandiran

Chenthu is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication Studies at Iowa. Having completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies and Political Science, and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling in Higher Education at the University of Wisconsin, Chenthu worked in higher education administration for almost a decade before coming to Iowa.

At Iowa he teaches classes in Interpersonal Communication, Business and Professional Communication, Intercultural Communication in addition to introductory classes in Communication Theory. His research interests are in emerging adult identity formation and performance processes and the particular communicative functions that impact the developmental trajectory of young and emerging adults.
