Global Health Studies Program

The University of Iowa's Global Health Studies Program offers an interdisciplinary approach to the complex processes influencing health and disease around the world. It considers not only the manifestations of significant diseases and public health and health care systems, but also the underlying forces and institutions—such as technology, politics, culture, legal structure, history, and economics—that collectively influence patterns of health and disease.
