The strength of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is built upon the expertise of our faculty. Our faculty are extraordinary teachers, trailblazing researchers and artists, and educational innovators who create a world-class scholarly environment for our students and whose work benefits Iowa, the nation, and the world.

At the Annual Faculty Meeting and reception on September 28, 2015, Dean Chaden Djalali and Executive Associate Dean Raúl Curto will introduce the College's newly hired faculty and celebrate our newly tenured and promoted faculty and those who were advanced to Senior Lecturer. Each newly tenured or promoted faculty member selected a book or other resource presented in his or her honor to the University Libraries.
