The University Faculty Senate administers the Michael J. Brody Award for Faculty Excellence in Service to the University and the State of Iowa. Awards are given each year to faculty members who have made effective contributions over a period of years and have demonstrated exceptional imagination and dedication to improving the University and/or meeting the needs of its external constituencies. Awardees have engaged in diverse formal and informal activities in faculty governance, committee work, policy improvement, program creation, aid to external constituencies, and other areas of importance to the University and the State.
