Mass Communication Minor
A mass communication minor introduces students to the field of mass communication in a brief setting and provides graduates with an edge in job fields including administration, business, education, law, public policy, and any other field with daily communication. The core classes give non-SJMC majors a new, fresh perspective in their workplace.
Any University of Iowa undergraduate student is able to complete this minor through the selected conceptual courses.
Courses and Requirements
The course work for this minor requires a minimum of 15 s.h. in mass communication courses, including 12 s.h. in advanced courses. Conceptual courses (JMC:3100-JMC:3300) are considered advanced for the minor.
