Professor Jay Holstein Receives Prestigious Teaching Award

Professor Jay HolsteinProfessor Jay Holstein, the J.J. Mallon Teaching Chair in Judaic Studies, has been awarded the prestigious University of Iowa President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence. Professor Holstein has been teaching in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Iowa for 44 years. In that time, he has reached tens of thousands of students with his insight into the Bible and the Jewish experience.
