University of Iowa Professor Waltraud Maierhofer has published a new book, Reineke Fuchs (Reynard the Fox).

The book is an edition of an illustration sequence of the Reynard the Fox epic tale by the German artist Johann Heinrich Ramberg, with accompanying text of early-19th century adaptations in German and English. The colorings of the etchings were done by an honors student with the help of an Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates scholarship.

Waltraud Maierhofer is a professor in the Department of German, part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She is also an affiliated faculty member of International Programs.
