The Department of Political Science welcomes five new graduate students to academic year 2021-2022.

  • Alex Bezahler holds a BA in Political Science from Trinity College, an MSc in Nationalism Studies from the University of Edinburgh and a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law. His research interests focus on the intersection of national identity and natural resources in the context of international relations. Visit Alex's profile page.

  • Eric Ngo received a BS from Truman State University and will major in International Relations. Visit Eric's profile page.

  • Cassidy Oberreuter graduated from Loras College with a BA in Political Science and International Studies. Cassidy's primary research interests include democracy and statehood in the United States and how the history of colonization effects current day political stability. Visit Cassidy's profile page.

  • Stephanie Schmitt earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her focus is American Politics, specifically how economic status influences plea deal outcomes. Visit Stephanie's profile page.

  • Weidong Zhang studies international relations theories and comparative politics. He is especially interested in the linkage of domestic politics and foreign policy, American foreign policy and power transition theory. Visit Weidong's profile page.
