Simal Binici is a first-year graduate student who studies political behavior, digital media, and political psychology. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University as she also holds a minor degree in Psychology. Having completed her undergraduate studies, she received her master’s degree from Koc University, in which her thesis focused on economic news reporting and voters’ economic evaluations in Turkey.

Simal is a big fan of sports and basketball in particular. She worked as a sports writer at the official student gazette of Bilkent University while she was an undergraduate student.
